WFFD: Transients likely responsible for fire in vacant home
Transient people were likely responsible for a fire that severely damaged a two-story house near Wichita Falls High School Wednesday morning. The Wichita Falls Fire Department got the alarm from 2132 Avenue H about 7:30 a.m., and firefighters found heavy smoke and flames emitting from the structure when they arrived. They called a second alarm to get more manpower.

A Strong Cold Front Brings Big Changes for the Weekend
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - A strong cold arrives Thursday afternoon with gusty north winds and cooler air settling in behind it. We’ll see temperatures rise into the 70s and 80s on Thursday but should see those temperatures drop behind the front by evening. Friday will be a cooler day with highs in the 60s to near 70. Rain and storm chances return Friday night and Saturday as weather disturbance moves in our direction. Clouds and rain hold temperatures down during the day on Saturday with most places only seeing highs in the 50s. The rain should move out by Sunday with a warming trend by early next week.
